Bumpers Briefs combine a soft, stretchy brief with four layers of absorbent lining and side barriers. Familiar to put on. Reusable after washing.

For school, pack a spare pair and a wet pouch so she can change when she needs to. The right style and a secure fit matter, especially while she learns her flow.

A few useful answers.

Which style should we start with?

Bumpers Briefs are designed for first and early period years. Choose UnderLiner for spotting, discharge and light days, or UnderShortie for a boyleg fit and fuller front-to-back coverage. Check the absorbency information on each product page against her flow.

How do I choose her size?

Use the size chart before ordering. Before removing the hygiene sticker, try the undies over clean underwear. Slide a pinky finger under the fabric around the widest part of her bum. No resistance suggests they are too big; digging in or a fight suggests too small. A little resistance is the fit to aim for.

What should she pack for school?

A spare pair of period undies, a wet pouch for a used pair and whichever other period products she prefers. Help her work out where she can change and who she can ask for support.

How often should she change?

Her flow and the style she wears determine when she needs a fresh pair. Check how the undies feel and change before they are saturated. Pack a spare while she gets familiar with her period. Absorbency is not a promise of a fixed number of hours.

How do we wash and dry them?

After checking the fit, wash before first wear. After use, rinse in lukewarm water until it runs clear, then machine wash cold with similar colours. Skip fabric softener and the tumble dryer. Air dry fully before wearing again. See the full care guide.

Can she use pads as well?

She can choose the period products that feel comfortable for her. The guides and comparison video below explain the options, including pads and tampons.
